This may be caused by router (ASUS) assigning different IP (e.g. because I unconnected the supercomputer from internet). Then it is possible to Remote to it using intranet IP (196....), but not ethernet one (142. ...). Solution: login to ASUS router and check port forwarding, whether the remote desktop forwards to the right IP.
